Imagine what might happen if we began teaching students in Kindergarten the fundamentals of the Universe as we know them today instead of what we thought about over 400 years ago!
Children going to school in the United States are introduced to Newton’s Laws of Motion and his Law of Universal Gravitation as early as kindergarten. They typically go through the majority of their time in school thinking that those laws govern the entire Universe. Rarely before college do they encounter Einstein’s Relativity and the theories of Quantum Mechanics that actually describe how the universe functions in radically different ways than what Newton thought.
The difference in mental models between those of Classical Physics and Relativistic-Quantum Physics is profound. Although we are entering the age of quantum computing and have been using Relativity Theory to launch satellites for decades, most people alive today do not think the universe works in the way it actually does. In order to realize our full potential as humans we need to break out of the Newtonian Paradigm and embrace the Quantum-Relativistic Paradigm.

Why is Hello, Earthlings Important?
As of 2020, the Pew Research Center found that 80% (12 million) of US 2-5 year-olds watch YouTube.
A 2020 University of Michigan study found that only 4% of YouTube videos watched by US children aged 8 years old or younger contained a “high level of educational value”.
Even the best of the best online educational shows for young learners like Sesame Street and Ms. Rachel contain small amounts of remedial science content. There is virtually no high level science content online for young learners.
Although it has been over 100 years since Einstein and quantum physicists radically changed our understanding of reality our society is still predominately stuck in the 400-year-old Newtonian Classical Physics Paradigm.

Hello, Earthlings will increase global scientific literacy in virtually every scientific discipline as young learners get exposed conceptually to complex scientific ideas early on in their education.
