Description

The 2017 Total Solar Eclipse has passed, but you can still prepare to safely view upcoming partial and total solar eclipses.

Looking directly at the Sun even when it is 99% eclipsed can cause permanent eye damage, even blindness. Sunglasses will not work! You need to use a certified material to look at the Sun during the eclipse, except for when the Sun is completely eclipsed during the moments of totality. The lenses of these glasses are American made of scratch resistant optical density 5, Black Polymer material. They will filter out 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light. These glasses are “CE” certified. That means the material meets the transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN 169/1992, the 2012 Transmission Requirements of EN 1836: 2005; AS/NZS 1338.1: 1992 for eclipse filters, and the Queensland Directive, Standard for ISO 12312-2:2015 for safe viewing of the Sun.

Please view eclipses safely with these American made solar glasses. In addition, you’ll be supporting our FREE year-round public stargazing programs. These glasses also make great Jackson Hole souvenirs! Order yours today!
