Every CLEAR Thursday Night, All Year Long!
Wyoming Stargazing offers weekly, free, year-round, public stargazing events on CLEAR Thursdays beginning approx. one hour after sunset at the Jackson Hole Land Trusts’ R-Park (Rendezvous Park) in Jackson Hole Wyoming (when the temperature is above zero degrees Fahrenheit!). There is $10/person recommended donation. Donate Online.
Join Wyoming Stargazing at R-Park, the Jackson Hole Land Trust’s flagship community open space, for our free public stargazing programs. We’ll be set up on the far side of the hill at the end of the driveway. Please park in the main parking area and walk to the far side of the hill following our Public Stargazing signs.
Our astronomy educators will use one of our large aperture telescopes to show you planets, stars, planetary nebulae, galaxies, and more! We will also have several iPads with the Star Walk application installed on them so you can explore the heavens while others are looking through the telescopes. Throughout the night our astronomy educators will tell you everything you want to know about the objects you are viewing. We can also answer all your other questions about astronomy. There is no need to reserve your spot in advance. You can come and go as you please. We look forward to seeing you under the stars! Please dress warmly.
In the event of bad weather, no worries! We’ll post the cancellation notice below as well as on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Check out tonight’s weather conditions here.

@ Jackson Hole Land Trusts’ R-Park
Wyoming Stargazing and Camina Conmigo, a local Spanish-speakers hiking group are teaming up to offer a free monthly stargazing program to Camina Conmigo members and any other native Spanish speakers in the JH Community. Interested individuals can meet us at Jackson Hole Land Trust’s R Park (the map to the right pinpoints where we stargaze) at the event start-time, or we provide transportation from the Albertson’s Recycling Center. In addition, we provide free “meriendas” (a Spanish word for snacks) to all participants.
From the Camina Conmigo page:
These programs were made possible through generous support from the Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, and the generous donations from people just like you!
